Meet, @igmarieb. Marie is an ACE-certified Persona Meet, @igmarieb. Marie is an ACE-certified Personal Trainer, Functional Movement Specialist, and Mobility Specialist with certification through FRC.
She is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, helping adults tackle yo-yo dieting, emotional eating, and more. In addition, she is trained in behavior change theory, motivational techniques, and language to help cultivate internal motivation in folks striving to make sustainable changes in their health.
Marie helps bring attention to mobility, stability, and quality functional movement to keep you strong and healthy for many years to come.

RJ is officially moving to Austin, TX, to ensure Motive gets off the ground smoothly. But, big picture, RJ will run Motive ATX entirely, which will be a massive step for him. And I'm proud to have him coming down and growing with the business. 
RJ will depart by the end of March, so get your (temporary) goodbyes in.

Let me paint you a picture. You start an exercis Let me paint you a picture. 
You start an exercise program. It has all the standard elements, like squats and deadlifts.
You make progress, but somewhere along the way, things don't "feel right." Maybe your knees are starting to hurt, or your back is achy. So, you sprinkle in accessory movements and warm-ups to improve your main lifts.
Things start to feel better, so you load up on your squats and deadlifts until you inevitably end up in the same place you started: achy and beat up.
So, you return to your longer warm-ups and accessory movements until you feel better.
Rinse and repeat. 
All along, you don't realize that the movements and things deemed "accessories" to your program are probably the things you need more than loading squats and deadlifts.
We can't tell you what YOU need, but there's a good chance using catch-all programming (i.e., standard exercise programming) will leave gaps in your joint strength, resilience, and health.
We know you can do better, and we can show you how.

My name is Zach Metz, and I am a senior at Grand Valley State University. I am finishing up my degree in exercise science with the hopes of attending a DPT program in the near future. Along with exercising and training, you can find me participating in sports and cooking delicious foods! 
From a young age, I have always been involved in sports and have wanted to understand in greater detail how and why the body moves how it moves. Motive Training sparked my interest in their use of FRC training, and I was eager to learn more. Although I have only been here for a month, I have learned so much from the trainers already and am excited to see what the rest of my internship has in store. I want to use the information I have learned to train and help others with their fitness and health goals!

Hey, I'm Joe! I'm a senior exercise science student at Grand Valley, and I will be starting PT school at GV this fall. I've been an avid runner for most of my life and love all things outdoors and fitness. My passion for this field stems from my experiences with injuries. I strongly value the ability to be physically fit and have a healthy body, and I want to help myself and others achieve this. 
I decided to intern at Motive Training after hearing about it from one of my friends. I love their focus on FRC, gaining and maintaining mobility, and individualizing workout programs. I have already learned so much during the last month here, and I look forward to continuing learning as an intern here at Motive!
