Every month, we will share detailed stories about one of our amazing clients at Motive Training. This month, we want to highlight Jenn V.
Jenn has been working at Motive for more than six months, and she’s seen incredible mental, physical, and emotional progress. Here is what her trainer, Marie Barker, had to say about it.
Jenn is a busy mom of 3 rambunctious boys…
and works full-time in the mental health field. But, like many of us, she’s often last on the priority list, so Jenn struggled to find time for her health and well-being. Yet, she had dreams of feeling better, being more active and mobile, and taking on some epic adventures like backpacking and hiking out west. So, determined to get a handle on her health and improve her strength and mobility, Jenn joined the Motive family.
She’s been training at Motive for around six months and has made brilliant strides. Jenn’s training program focused on ankle dorsiflexion and eversion, core strength, single leg strength and stability, overhead shoulder mobility and strength, and more. And now, she’s stronger and healthier than she’s been in years.
Here is a recent picture of Jenn, simply beaming. She spent a week hiking and canoeing the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northern Minnesota. Jenn carried pack(s) weighing around 60 lbs, sometimes two at a time. At other times she was maneuvering the trail with a 40lb canoe on her shoulder!
Jenn could take on this adventure confidently and thoroughly enjoyed every last bit because she was mentally and physically prepared. She reported having energy each day and did not feel soreness at the end of the day. And she practiced her CARs daily and confidently managed the terrain on the trail.
I am sure this is the first of many extraordinary adventures to come.
Cheers, Jenn. Keep it up!
