Why Did We Name Our Gym Motive?
July 14, 2023 | Personal Training
Hi, I’m Brian Murray, the founder of Motive Training, sometimes referred to as the “motive gym.” I’m here to introduce you to our world of fitness, where we strive to make a difference in your life through personalized training. Today, I want to share our story and the core principles that shape our approach to fitness.
Our Story
In 2018, I realized a gap in the fitness industry. There was no standard for personal trainers, and the quality of service varied greatly. Being passionate about fitness and seeing its impact on people’s lives, I decided to create a platform that would set a benchmark for personal training. This idea led to the birth of Motive Training.
The definition of motive is both purpose and movement. And since I’m so deadset on moving with purpose, it made sense to tie our philosophy and brand directly to the name.
Our mission at Motive is to provide an elevated fitness experience fully tailored to your needs. We prioritize credibility, competency, and results. We believe everyone is unique; therefore, one-size-fits-all programs just don’t cut it. Our personalized approach ensures that you get what you want and need.
What Sets Motive Training Apart?
What makes us stand out is our commitment to Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), a globally recognized system that enhances muscle development, joint mobility, and overall health. Our entire team is certified in FRC, ensuring you receive the best training possible.
We focus on exercises that alleviate joint pain, build a resilient body, and make you feel better than you have ever felt before. Our trainers can assist you with the following:
- Mobility
- Injury Mitigation
- Weight loss
- Building muscle
Our Five Tenets
At Motive Training, we abide by five tenets that guide our training approach.
- Move With Purpose: We believe that every movement should have a purpose. Whether it’s to build strength, increase flexibility, or improve balance, we ensure that your workouts are targeted and effective.
- Do More With Less: We don’t believe in overloading workouts with unnecessary exercises. Instead, we focus on exercises that yield maximum results with minimum effort.
- No Pain = More Gain: We are against the “no pain, no gain” philosophy. We believe that effective workouts can and should be pain-free.
- Leave Better Than You Came: Our goal is for you to leave each session feeling better, stronger, and more confident than when you arrived.
- Always Be a Student: We believe in continuous learning and improvement, and we encourage our clients to adopt this mindset too.
